Sometimes you wonder, time, where has it gone? If you respect fellow humans or position, you are in order but if you treat time merely as a beautiful clock that tick-tocks what time of the day it is, or a designer watch that decorates your wrist, you are missing something. I’m noteven talking about punctuality. I thought to remind you that time is a leveler.
The story was told of a young employee whom immediate supervisor would threaten with sack everyday. The young man became demoralised with low self-esteem. Fate befell them both, they were jointly implicated in a major infraction that got them sacked the same day.
The young man picked himself up and found his way up the ladder in another company because he was just starting life. It was not so for the supervisor who was already at the middle level of his career. The rest, they say, is history. True life story. I am a witness.
Some events happen in one’s life that are not meant to define you but to teach you lessons you, ordinarily, would not learn. You must be vigilant not to assume permanence over any such situation, good or bad, because things happen so fast.
If things are working for you but not yet for your peers, don’t call them lazy. What you achieved in the morning, they can achieve a better version in the afternoon and still not diminish the value of your own accomplishment.
Guard your heart and let what flows from there be words of life. I have greeted a friend good night before only to wake up the following morning to his lifeless body. That is man for you. I have seen the son of nobody become somebody just because of one event. Just one event.
After God, if there is any fear you should have, not man and not event. It should be the fear of how quickly things can change to wipe off old memories. Please, walk gently in the lives of others, not all wounds are visible.
Hello readers. I missed your company.
